A few observations on tamilnadu,

The red coastal areas are fertile farm lands and stronghold of DMK.

The arid western districts industrialised since land is cheaper and no problems with land acquisition. These are admk strongholds

Tamil Nadu made great use of Bengaluru near border , hosur is the fastest growing city in India with a huge industrial base now

Unlike andhra pradesh TN actually invested into hosur city and created infrastructure there. Sricity is completely ignored by state government , they didn't even build a bus stand for it

 "geographical determinism"

It's a rain shadow zone , meaning their agriculture is terrible , since they don't have any other infrastructure they won't get any other industries

Also another theme common in Andhra Pradesh /Telangana and Karnataka where the real estate mafia thrives , all areas distant from the capital are ignored.

The people in those areas will be told lies that your capital is developing , you will also get developed in ** years. It has never worked anywhere

State government has not spent a single rupee on sricity , even the roads , drainage , drinking water , electricity poles , transformers are all privately developed

The reasons why companies are choosing sricity is exactly that , they sont want to deal with Andhra state govt and proximity to Chennai
