when arab spring happened…people came to know about the power of  social media…specially twitter…

since then… hong kong protests, iran protests , india farmer protests , 2011 india anti corruption movements…etc it played significant role in almost all protests…around the world…

now all i worry is…this tool is in musk hands who openly taking sides and promoting politically motivated content..

as long as people are believing him as an idle/smart..etc…he has all the power to suppress some protests or encourage some protests…thats what trump did few years back..without paying single penny…musk is doing the same by taking the ownership…

If people don’t trust this service or think this is not fair or too many restrictions, they will move to another one like Facebook… it is not the end of the world.. there are plenty of other social media services.. 

now that you brought Arab spring topic, look at what happened to the countries where the uprisings happened.. everyone is doing way worse than they were doing before in those countries 

Now every govt controls the social media in their country.. they pretty much block any posts that oppose them.. the so called free speech is not there even in the most democratic countries..

Beginning next year, there will be investigations not only how Twitter interfered in 2020 elections but also all other social media companies including Meta, Youtube, Tiktok etc., The idea is to extend whatever constitutional provisions r applicable for govt agencies will also be made applicable to private organizations especially Big Tech companies.

Makes you wonder if it looks like Trump is the victim & somehow help in 2024? With all this, there's no way Randi Santis will get nomination! Mitt Romney, a loser,  already acknowledged that Trump will get the nomination & lose. Any Republican nominee will lose 2024. 

As far as India is concerned, Is the govt even remotely thinking on how technology is affecting peoples' lives? Tech is the biggest national security more than missiles & tanks. How is Indian govt spending on developing indigenous tech where information of Indians will be stored only in India & not in a country with whom the relations are always fragile?!! Stupid people still want free money instead begging for infrastructure & national security.
