No baa it doesnt' work like that, table tennis for example is far more popular than cricket and plenty of Asians(Chinese, Japanese, Koreans) are all good at that but at a university level it's not a sport that captures student body popularity so even if you are the best table tennis player in town you won't get any points/scholarship to play it at university level. 

Cricket will be similar.

Already some schools in Frisco have included cricket part of sports curriculum bro … you may be right but things might change .

Irrespective of the sport and it’s popularity, he is (will be soon) country ki represent cheyadam ante it’s a great achievement kada. I wish him good success. Maybe if he do well, he might be get picked for IPL/big bash who knows. Eventually cricket will pick up the popularity, maybe not in top 5 but still be there. If it included in Olympics for 2028, then it will be deemed important sport.

Yes we have high hopes for him, he's still very young so hopefully he will fulfill his potential.
