Seriously the obsession with degrees should stop - pushed partly by democrats and entire private universities...

electrician ( 2 year course after school)  makes more than 90% university degree holders. This is just an example...

High skill doesn't mean degree.

Nursing , truck drivers etc are in huge demand and will be in demand in future

COVID showed what can go wrong when you depend on one country.

Diversification started and it won't end.

If needed countries will enforce "local" rules

I'm trying my best not to force them to go traditional engineering or medical degrees ..

You are missing the point - many students who are not interested or have others skills ( by virtue of location, parents , upbringing etc ) , or those who can't afford are also getting expensive useless degrees from private universities...

If you want to study, all means one can do and get a degree after start earning.. but this push by private universities to take up edu loans has to stop

We goto college to get discipline and spend time in structured environment. If you spend that time aimless at that age you most likely go downhill. You need guidance and pressure till you complete college age. Yes just with a degree you can’t do anything

Colleges became very expensive after the govt sponsored/guaranteed education loans.. colleges increased the fees and thus increasing the overall education expenses… fancy buildings, expensive programs and equipment, sports teams, sports scholarships etc became the main areas that receive most of that money..

Again, I'm talking about useless private universities with no class rooms , no infrastructure... 60% are such universities who gives out arts degrees ... and you end up with debt

Compare that to 2 year professional polytechnic, taught by state or county...

Those credits can be transferred to college degree later on.

Yes, thats why GM and others started car plants there...

Going by your logic, America should have zero manufacturing and just import everything as labor is expensive here?

white collar moju tagginhchi....blue collar jobs ni encourage chestunnaru...

behind the scenes they dont want everyone to be rich..

dabbunnodi deggare undali control disha ga pavulu kaduputunnaru.. by doing throwing monkey biskets

that'll create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs in the years ahead.

And by the way – most of these jobs will pay $125,000 a year and many won't require a college degree.

125K is blue collar wage in present world... without degree what will they do..

just printing the chips their entire career or soldering the connections..

then whos gonna work towards future.
