Can I FedEx/DHL my Indian passport (with stamped H1B visa) from India (Kolkata) to USA(California). FedEx/DHL says no

My wife got my passport stamped via Dropbox. Our naive plan was that she would then send me the passport from india to dust us FedEx and then I would travel on that passport to bring her and out 8 month kid. Now the FedEx and DHL guys are saying it is not possible to ship Indian passport outside india via courier service.

Any pointers what to do and how to do?

We cannot send your frnd passport even in domestic courier.. for example Hyderabad to vizag... Concerned person is required to courier his own passport

But there are lot of ppl who do things before thinking bcuz they are over smart to beat the system… this might be one of those
