I would like to help my friend who is stuck in India under 221G for at least four months now. He is legally separated from his wife and she has moved on with her life. My friend has an US born child who should be attending 8th grade now but also stuck in India with his dad. They are from one of the inner villages and don’t have anyone in big cities in India. The issue is, the boy isn’t attending school now due to non availability of schools (there’s a government school) and language barrier. My friend asked whether I could be a legal guardian so that he could send his child as an unaccompanied minor to USA and enroll in a middle school until he returns. How does this work?
