How many years will it take to make this investment work? You probably save $100 to $200 per month in non winter months.. may be $2000 per year… and it takes 15 years to 20 years to recover the Investment

Financial benefits are none for you but just a way to use solar energy

Going green is a Self satisfaction, that you are doing your part to save mother earth. Till our generations we had beautiful life with all kinds of natural resources, but it is doubtful if future generations will get experience the same. Trying to avoid   META would be the universe of Future generations.

giving up your 5000sq ft single home to live in a condo will save mother earth much better. but americans are already fcuked up beyond repair and embrace useless solutions like electric car instead of just taking the bus.

I actually was asking about rooftop solar in Hyderabad.

Sorry for the confusion.

In Hyderabad, before Covid it was 2.2 Lakhs which was around 3500$ at that time.

Now with Rupee rate at around 82.5, if it is still 2.2L, it would be 2666$....more than 800$ less.

Don't think that it makes any sense to get it installed in US. But its a no brainer in India.

This quote was without power wall … Tesla solar panel roof or Tesla tiles ? For me Tesla solar roof with power wall quotes 29k with power wall .. it’s cheaper because they take half srec credits upfront as with others they give it back to you

Depends on the state , it doens't make any sense in many states. Its a great investment in sunny states like California , Arizona ,etc

In India it makes a lot of sense because it's sunny almost 330 days and electricity prices are not cheap for high usage, if you own a house and plan to stay there for 5-6 years . It's absolutely no brainer
