Story is drama, with horror being a part of it. Very well done by director.

I didn’t get the character of the guy who helps the girl.. he has no relation with them or has no connection.. but he still goes to great lengths to help them.. they should have showed some kinda connection with them.. 

its little strange for us about no connection and trying to help neighbor or colleague or any stranger, as no one in india help strangers, at-least not to the point how the lead character helps the neighbor by putting his work and personal relation with his girl friend aside, thats really helpful and nice to see, would you do any such ? of-course no ? even i also wont help that much, but this is exactly what the directors point is, try helping others as much as you can, this world would be so beautiful, if everyone does help each other like shown in the movie, isn't it

Helping others is fine, for small things… But A coward getting ready to fight with a dead witch/devil for a neighbor, who he is not related or even close friends with?? 
not saying that is not good but looked like a loophole in an otherwise excellent movie..

if you have the emotion to help, then it doesnt matter if you're coward or brave right ? emotion is the key... it will drive you to any situation, like dammu gundelo undali, no need to be strong or heavy build to fight the heavy build opponent right, result could be anything.. imo that ain't a loophole,
