Eee madhya being a Telugu vaadu or athmagauravam is affiliated only 2 or 3 castes.

As a result, rest of the telugu people are very uncomfortable even calling themselves Telugu outside of AP, TS.

Bangalore lo konthamandi Guntur vallu who don't belong to political castes are speaking in Hindi or English even with Telugu people. That's how much people r disowning their Telugu identity. Of course, this is just hearsay.

Honestly there was never a Telugu identity in history except when Andhra Pradesh formed in India 

Not a single empire ruled all of  today's Andhra Pradesh for any significant period of time , it was part of different empires

Not really , chola empire ruled all of Tamil Nadu for a huge amount of time. Cholas are the identity for Tamil Nadu 

Same way kakatiyas also ruled most of current Telangana , kakatiyas + nizam empire form the foundation for Telangana identity  

For odissa it's the kalingas , maharastra it's the marata empire  for Bihar it's magada. 

some states like Andhra Pradesh , madhya pradesh are based on no identity. It works as long as one part is not dominating others , but in Andhra Pradesh there is clearly no synergy or unity. 

Honestly I don't see any downsides if the state is divided into 3 or 4  with ironclad water resource sharing agreements 

Coastal Andhra will finally get rid of rayalaseema cheddies , uttarandhra will be free of outsider influence , etc

Not really , vijaynagar empire treated rayalaseema people just as well as others. Even promoted Telugu language along with others 

Pallavas and Cholas  treated Nellore,chittoor well with no discrimination 

Kalingas also ruled uttarandhra without any discrimination 

Madras presidency also has amicable rule , everyone got equally fked by the British

Infact you could make an argument that the state of Andhra Pradesh is more discriminatory towards most of the regions , no wonder it for divided and is going to further implode sometime later

There was never any value for andhra pradesh , most of the looting in Andhra was done by Telugu people not north Indians or tamilians.

Honestly north east states have much more value  and autonomy than poorer regions of Andhra  like srikakulam, vijayanagaram , kurnool , etc. Infact it would a huge upgrade for them to get north east type identity 

Telugu identity just like  caste or religious identity is just a tool to control masses and enrich a few people
