If that is the only offer I would say go. Kansas lo kooda taxes takkuva kaadhu. Cost of living konchem takkuva anthe. You will have better opportunities later. And chali ekkuva comparative ga. But since you are young this is the right time to move. It is a beautiful place

news lo ilantivi chaala ne cheptharu.....neeku first hand information kavali ante ask local ppl. If they say dont come to chicago because of crime across chicagoland, then dont come anthe.

Property taxes, state tax of 5% and cold weather....these three are big minus for chicagoland area.....vere state lo kuda same situation unte, chicago is top priority. If other states does not have any of these, then chicago is not a place to settle. 

deeni batti decide avvochu.....10+yrs avthundi ikkada undi...so local guy ga naa experience. For me, cold weather is a big thing and thought of moving to Texas...but akkada property taxes are high + still high real estate than chicago....State tax undadhu + better weather...only these two were positive. Atlanta is another option we are thinking of....chudali where my destiny takes me

Chicago is a beatiful city for living in suburbs and working in downtown ..Naperville aurora Schaumburg downers grove Arlington Gurnee palatine westmont and lombard(my favorite areas)rents bit on higher side near triann stations u can take little far from train station drive and park ..but harsh winters is only bad part or else I love Chicago suburb living any day 

 

But recently lots n lot of desis migration from IL to TX to FL due to bad weather  .if you are not concerned about bad weather go for it..village in the park (schaumburg) and international village (lombard)  and decent desi population apartments ..for job opportunities wise tons and tons of clients like Motorola Comcast cardinal Abott labs allstate cvs caremark in Northbrook and tons of clients in downtown like BCBs 

 

Summers lo downtown is amazing specially mag mile and entire Michigan ave..and occasional Devon Ave visits for desi stuff..
