There is definitely some truth in your claim. Probably this is another form of terrorism, soft-terrorism after Love Jihad and other stuff.

These Khans, in one way or the other, are Gelikifying the very sensitive concepts of Religion, terrorism, Politics etc.

This is where exactly South-Indian movies are having an edge. They do not unnecessarily bring religion into the core theme.
