Economic outlook and most importantly, fall out of Tesla price changes will have huge impact.  Not just on Tesla, other manufacturers bumped up MSRP and selling at or above MSRP... My guess is they will have huge pressure once the inventory builds...

Luxury cars - 20% off MSRP days are not too far. That used to be the case not too long ago.

My guess is that Tesla sees a dire forecast and reacted fast - because they can and adjust the price,  ability to produce the cars as needed ( 2 giga factories ramping up ) .. many thinks it's a master stroke where it not only protects Tesla balance sheet but also kills competition.

If economy tanks, no one can help but Tesla will have a huge front load of orders - they take a majority of shrunken pie ( > 45k $  car market) .

showroom is last option for me , I only go to showroom after I complete all my analysis. Based on current trend I will wait for 2-3 months
