How do you connect projector to speakers (home theatre)?

I have a hdmi cable and Apple adapter.

buy a receiver 

get a cheaper one if you only have one speaker

I am getting video but no audio from speakers (not projector sound). Do I need to buy AV Receiver?

how to find if your receiver has AVR capability, I do have receiver but I'm facing the same issue as TS

You'd need a receiver. Connect all speakers to the receiver, Connect your apple TV 's HDMI output to the receiver as well and calibrate sound.

You either need - 

Receiver + speakers ( home theater)

Or 

Soundbar system (best for all other rooms in 2023 )

Tell what have or planning to have, 

I can recommend either systems
