PVNR was a statesman, Intellectual, Writer, Lawyer, Polyglot and more over Prime Minister. NTR was none of the above. PVNR didn't get the recognition he deserves because he was a South Indian & born in the wrong caste.

siggu undaali - gonthemma korekalu. how many other south indians castes became PM?

aadu PM ayyindhi chaallaledhu gaani bharat ratna raalendhu antu malli kulapu randi rona..[

I dont think south indian or caste is the reason. Pvnr dint dance to the tunes of italian munda. Thats the reason. Aa lanjjje ki pv antey full grudge undi. Even anthakriyalu kooda delhi lo jaraganeeyaley.

or else he would have easily got BR when congi was in power. I hope someday bjp govt gives BR to him.

PV was big failure as CM of AP(obviously due to high command pressure) but shinned as PM.

PVN was too caste obessed. read his autobiograpdhy insider - where he constantly worried about brahmin caste domination going away.

He was too casteist even for sonia and rahul who themselves are brahmins anyway.

I don't think caste or region has anything to do with his under recognition. The politics of the 90's, rise of Janata, new blood in congress, and of course the political stability that followed P V N Rao's term collectively resulted in ignorance and under recognition.

PVNR inherited the chair when India was going through crisis of the century. Internal instability, violence, domestic and foreign sponsored terror, economic crisis, foreign sanctions, pressure and isolation, tectonic shift from socialist to capitalist economy and complete chaos in the house and he had to steer with minority government. The most challenging five years were presided by PVNR and that shows his ability to run and steer the administration. In this course, he made many enemies. He had enemies in his own party and friends in the opposition.

In my opinion, he was the RIGHT man in WRONG party. You will rarely come across anyone who will criticize PVNR and that itself is a big tribute to him. The same can't be said about others.
