Aside from the macro economic issues , Layoffs usually give negative PR for any company

Companies tend to do it at the same time to lessen the negative PR since everyone else is doing it

When Twitter started layoffs at the start , everyone was mad at Elon Musk for it but now no one really cares about masa layoffs by so many companies

twitter layoffs are very humiliating…at least other companies layoffs are bit better…

even meta did their layoffs in respectable way…

by the time musk took over it, it was losing 1 million dollar per day. it was under bad management. why would muck will bear that much loss of 1 million dollar every day??

Firing used to be done when companies are in losses. Now they are doing it with record profits because of some future scenarios which did not even happen yet.

Google loss lot of ad revenue and user activity since last 1 year because of Tik tok. every quarterly results, they were beaten by tik tok. they could not justify to investor why they have so many employees and over head cost when there is no growth.

it is not drama. he abandoned to takeover. but parag ex ceo went to court forcing him. drama created by old management but it looked like musk created it. they don't have sustainable revenue model until musk took over it. now he is killing it. from hopeless situation to bright future now. he is rolling out every week new features on twitter.

in fact twitter have now gained more user active minutes compared to other social media platform except tik tok.
