20 years in Google and instantly fired

Google and Amazon are cutting down even top performers ..some with credentials like Georgia tech and former CEOs of successful  startups..this is not anymore about over hiring..tech companies are under serious budget cuts.

Google laid off a software engineer who was working since 2003 and been part of major projects . He received email followed by access denial  immediately.  He was told not to attend campus even as guest !!  

Lesson for newbies..no matter how important your work and your contribution is..the moment your job is no longer important they will send you home..they won't offer grand farewell or put flowers on your table with an apology and thanks for your contribution..

Google lo okka SRE edo important service down untey friday early morning 1am nunchi fix cheyyadaniki try chesadanta. 2:30 ki athani access cut ayindi. Em jaruguthundo ardham kaledhu. 4ki ala personal email ki layoff ki message vachindi. He immediately called his manager to hand of the debugging and the mgr was clueless since there is no backup. Literallu europe team tho work chesi issue resolve ayyesariki chaala late ayindi.

Learnt my lesson when I got laid off and was kicked out with my belongings and didn't even give me a chance to at least close the open browsers...

That guy will be getting close to 2 years salary and probably already made millions through his company stocks.

some executives you got fired will be getting more than a million dollars in severance 

we don’t have to sympathize with these guys as they are well off, they are replaced for a reason and 20 years is a long time and usually those kind of guys are sacked because their role can be replaced with someone on a lower salary.

Good for them. They can start new businesses with the severance money and what they earned till now. If not they will have better opportunities. Google’s loss

mana desis tho occhina peddha problem enti ante "nenu late hours kuda pani chesevadini including weekends" ani cheppukuntu untaru but end of the day no one cares how many late hours an employee has put in...

since my layoff, I just work my 8 hours and sign off..unless required and will adjust the extra hours worked to some time off...
