Gather kids from your apartment and let them play together in your house every day.. or in a park nearby.. have as many play dates as possible.. your wife should take the lead.. 

One of my neighbor used to come to our home in the evening every day with her autistic kid so that he plays with my kid.. my wife didn’t like that she is coming every day but she didn’t care as she thought that the social interactions for her kid is more important than how my wife feels.. bit selfish but it really helped her kid.. so be selfish and make sure your kid has someone to play with every day..
