Just like religion conversions why can't there be caste conversions.

The word Hinduism is introduced by Westerners who categorized religion in their own way.

Anyone who is born in subcontinent is a Hindu no matter which theology or philosophy they follow.

Okkappudu Hindu vs Non Hindu - based on whether you are born in subcontinent or not.

But recent times i.e. in last 300-400 years people can 'convert' to other religion.

If this is possible then why can't there be caste conversion?
