The decision to move funds from your 401(k) to a stable bond fund or any other investment option is a personal one and depends on your individual financial goals, risk tolerance, and overall investment strategy.

While bond funds are generally considered to be less volatile than stock funds and may provide a degree of stability, they also generally offer lower returns compared to stock funds over the long term. Moving a portion of your 401(k) to bonds may provide some diversification and help to reduce risk in your overall portfolio, but it's important to keep in mind that all investments carry some degree of risk.

It's also important to consider the impact of any changes to your 401(k) on your long-term retirement savings. Moving funds from a stock fund to a bond fund could impact your overall returns, which could have a significant impact on your retirement savings over time.

Before making any changes to your 401(k), it's recommended to consult with a financial advisor or a retirement planning specialist to assess your financial situation and determine the best investment strategy for you

Don't play  with 401k. Even if you are a good market timer , by the time you update your investment strategy which takes 1-2 paychecks at least , the big bull rally will be over ...

Bad call. Don’t try to time the market with 401K. Put in a good index( s&p or total market) fund and keep adding.

Suggest some funds

Actually I moved 100% of my 401k to stable value fund which returns 3.5%(guaranteed, employer fund) about a week ago, missed this massive rally but no regrets.

3.5% per year returns icche fund enti Capitalist ?
