Bokkale.... He's just playing with bakras.... The prices won't go up because the supply chain is easing and production and chip costs are coming down........ I'll wait for 6-9 more months....... The consumer spending is already going downhill...... Fed will keep rates at 5.25% or above for next 1 year.

Musk mawa should have to hit 1.8M vehicles target...... Watch he'll lower the Model Y under $49,900 by year end which is currently $54,990 now.

probably true. Why the current rush to buy is uncertain 7500 credit after march. That's it. 3750 is guaranteed and probably TSLA may even qualify for 7500 (they have the best chance IMO). So, people are thinking "why leave 3750 on the table).

I think he'll adjust the price based on demand - berlin and shanghai are going to producing at full capacity and the demand for the relatively pricier vehicles is not guaranteed with weak economy.

When EV tax credits go down to $3750.... He'll adjust it back in the summer.... So no rush buying now.

and to hit year end last quarters inventories target he'll drop it below $50K.

BYD is already giving Tesla a run for its money in China.

Elon Musk can sell Model Y LR at $$45K and can still make a $5K profit on the car...... Remember in 2019 Musk introduced Model Y starting price at 39K and Long range model at $47K?

Model Y production is in full swing now. I'm sure he'll take LR model price back to that price range ($47.5-$49.9K).

Tesla Investors need 40-50% delivery growth per year at all costs.

My two cents ..The price increase today came due to the cry from non tesla companies, other American companies that helped with IRS move these companies cannot lower the prices especially ford and GE. The  price hike is going to stay for few years and may also have one more hike before summer .. which may be lowered a bit in the year end . If you need an EV get it by March don’t buy if don’t need it.

No way Tesla is doing this to help others. Already they are 2 months out for new orders. They are just reacting to demand.

They can always lower the price, which others can't do at will

Yes, model Y is at best cost 10% in raw materials and build over model 3. They can sell at 40k and still more profitable than others

Tesla is not trying to help others .. it’s just keeping it’s profits up when competitors cannot cope up.. why do you think IRS increased the price cap after tesla reduced the prices… tesla won the game with its competitive advantage of lower production costs

Yes. IRS increased the cap to help GM and Ford, but Tesla will benefit the most.

Elon musk can publicly mock president and Democrats, but they can't do anything to stop.. instead they are helping them in every way!!!
