Numbers are skewed. MH pays most tax because most of the financial corporations and banks are headquartered in Mumbai. Even though they earn n different states they show it from the state where they are registered.

Even for MH, they should take Mumbai out show the stats.

This year is a bad indication because most of india was closed down for half the period. State incomes took a severe hit during that period

2018-19 would be a better indicator

It’s same trend both in India and vomerica. Deeply land locked states such as Bihar, Jharkand and Uttar Pradesh have least development. Just like Oklahoma, Kansas and other red states here in vomericaaa. Scum baggage.

Agriculture is a thing of past. Developed world has moved to Industrial Revolution many decades ago.

Now the current trend is technological revolution.

States like Bihar has a lot to catch upon. I think providing a good graduate level education would be a good place to start. The literacy rate is still low in these states. Even red states here are infested with uneducated farmers. Farming is a noble profession, but it’s not lucrative.

Exactly. High populated Countries like China, Mexico and vomerica use less than 15% land for agriculture. They are able to generate good output. As a matter of fact, Mexico and China have very good exports too.

In India, we use almost 56% of total land in agriculture. The lack of machinery is an issue. Indian farmers still use ancient agriculture practices. It’s such a waste of time and land cover.
