Msft has 49% stake in chatgpt.

secondly integrating chatgpt would be like committing suicide in the worry of getting killed. Google revenue model is showing ads. If they integrate chatgpt, the ad revenue will take big dent and also they will have to share revenue to chatgpt

That is the exact reason why Google panics. If ChatGPT can give direct answer with all the details and people use that more and more, then Google will have no other option but to change their business model.

google remembers you…your activity and interests …gathered from various of its apps like maps, youtube..etc

but chatgpt doesn’t remember you…chatgpt context level is for that particular session..once close browser and open it again…it treats you as new person…

if google adopts these chatgpt features..it will give personalized experience…

Thats the current version of chatgpt. I am sure they will implement features to learn from history for user

Rofl google search ni chatgpt tho replace cheyyadam possible anukuntunnava? Do u think its sustainable? Google is getting revenue with ads. Inshort every link shown in google search will contribute towards ad revenue.

Direct single answer isthey ad revenue model workout avvadu. Subscription model pettali

Microsoft has their ad platform, chatgpt is being integrated into bing, first influencer advantage is huge, apple made ios and then palm, nokia and blackberry made feature rich and better OS than IOS but once people get comfortable they will not easily migrate, not saying Google is nokia or blackberry but if they are late to the party they will lose their userbase to a rival platform. First iPhone I bought didn’t had Bluetooth and 4-5 generations didn’t had multi tasking but it did one thing too good for people to ignore all other glaring flaws, even if chatgpt is very good at one thing it will be a major win for Microsoft

same reason why FB acquired insta, whatsapp for a ridiculous amount of money, if hadn’t done they would’ve been another myspace by now

Thats the reason google is coming up with bard.

afaik, chatgpt results are based on 2021 data where as bard can directly levarage google infra and provide upto date info. Bing can do that too i guess.

Its too early to predict whats the future of search engines. But i feel they r going to stay

Google is no innovating company. They are more like catchup game.

google started autonomous driving project much before than other companies. Tesla came & captured the market.

imo, google is too worried about brand name & hence being very hesitant to take risks.

Google didn’t start anything, autonomous driving was demostrated in 1939 by GM, and during gulf war iraq was bombarding supplies to kuwait, then GM enabled autonomous driving to save drivers lives, the tech existed for however long but there were many side projects since then in bay area and google happen to be one of those side projects, what modern autonomous driving has is GPS, cameras and miniaturized components like lidars etc.

Google was never a leader in autonomous tech and so do Tesla, there are companies like Cruise offering 100% hands free driving taxies in San Francisco
