Took look and saved upto 150K compared to market price and I got the way I need it like long tennis court and basketball court

Building your own crib can be tempting, especially if you want to customize it just how you like it. But let me tell you, it's not always cheaper, especially if you're footing the bill solo. Sometimes, those unexpected costs can creep up on you.
If you're thinking about taking the plunge, I'd say definitely get some Construction Quotes first. That way, you can weigh up all your options and see what's going to work best for your budget. And hey, if you do decide to go for it, make sure you find a builder you can trust. There ain't nothing worse than getting stuck with a dodgy contractor.

I did it on my own. It’s not worth it. I went through torture. Since it’s my own money and I prepaid for each phase, there is zero motivation for builder to speed up. He literally has no skin in game. 
plus since it’s a single house and fully customized, every single thing is at retail price. Even the labor is more.

after 2 yrs and subpar house I paid more than a stock home from other builder. 
I was very hands off. I didn’t live in area. So I used to go once every couple of weeks during weekend. It won’t work. If you can micro manage it will work.

Not worth it. One off posh neighborhood la 2M-3M dollar kompa unte unique ga untadi kani, less than 1M untee, not worth the hassle. Resale of the house would be a nightmare if unique in the neighborhood. 

Ezample, market la 1 month house kaliga unte nee endhuku evadu konatle, something wrong ayintadi ani no one caring about.
