Gov. Greg Abbott tells state agencies to stop considering diversity in hiring

I was a member of some interview panels in the past.
 

We got directions from our higher management to prioritize people who have good behavior/professionalism. We did not hire many people with stellar resumes. Just because they didn’t sound professional enough for us

At the end of the day, people can be trained for skills. We are all replaceable. Hence skills/merit is a second priority. 

The first presence is their personality/behavior.
 

Their personality issues are ingrained and they are too hard to change in a newly hired employees.

All public traded companies are purely funded by investors. Investors come from all walks of life. some of them invest their 401k etc. it’s a bussiness strategy on companies behalf too. 
 


in the absence of diversity, Why the phuck the nalla, makku and ladies should buy shares? Especially if they know that people who look like them are not represented? 
 

White males are unanimously hated by all the minorities in this country. So they don’t want tO yeild further. 

They are already gambling with profit and losses. They atleast want some representation in this royal phuck up.

Interview need to go obsolete then. haha

why are they only getting special priviliges annav kada ... andulo ne answer undi antunna, they are under respresented in society because no one wants to take them. 

CEOs act based on business data. Governments act based on public data... so they formulate laws accordingly

Big businesses are not truly self-serving, they also act with some degree of social responsibility

You just answered your question and just saying what I reiterated, firstly any government has to be inclusive and protect the minorities, there were times no too long ago(1970’s) when blacks weren’t allowed to vote or even board a bus. Such laws protect those minorities. Not all are bad actors but some are. Similar case is with H1b right? Why a citizen can’t be hired for this position and subjective to the case by case we file H1b with supporting documentation. Law’s not on whim, fancy or a word of mouth, everything has to be on a paper.

Let me tell you how cruel is our society to some, here is story about 2 gender neutral doctors, they were not hired just because they were gender neutral or given PG seats inspite of their qualifications. Such laws are made to protect such people.

Baloney.. No one?? Seriously? I don't discriminate based on color or gender. ivemi entertainment field lo casting couch lives kaadu.. i know some people here who recruit.. i don't think they are racist.. why are they under represented is a separate debate to have.. 

 

Is that so?? Why are corporations not acting to eliminate nationality based discrimination in the immigration law?? ain't that a social responsibility?? haha

if they had qualifications, not admitting them is discrimination based on gender.. When i argue, I argue against reservations.. i am not pro-discrimination.. if such laws doesn't exist, fight for introducing them.. not giving unfair advantage..

Because the social responsibility to corporates is guided by the Government and governments want to pick up the available talent from the citizens as first priority.. now if Abbott says no, corporates will have to follow that rule. 

coming to the nationality discrimination etc. the corporates have lobby groups to provide feed back...do you think without those lobbyists H1Bs could survive for so long ?

are you really into stocks? do you think people will buy stocks based on diversity in the company? and analysts estimate a comp based on diversity?  as per your explanation if those people dont buy these growth stocks it really doesnt matter for thrm becoz there will be millions lined up to buy a company stock when its a making good revenue and profit.
