My answer would be: Yes and No both at the same time.

Yes: Because I faced interview with Twitter/FB/Insta in London Offices for roles based in UK & EU. Incredibly difficult and genuinely talented people. The interviews are funny too, like asking how do you convince your GF for a dating...as cool as that. Probably they are looking how cool I could be if I want to convince someone in the team.

No: Chinese have done it. Russians have done it. Japanese have done it. Up to some extent, South Korea, Malaysia, Iran and Vietnam have some sort of their own Google and Social Media platforms.

At least there is no harm in trying ... probably thats what KTR meant.
