previously developers and operators are two roles and two jobs…now devops…single setup automation…

previously developer and tester are two separate jobs…now with the help of selenium or cypress…etc developers can do that testing also…

previously we have ui developer and backend developer (two jobs)…now we have full stack developer…(one job)…

previously to develop a phone app..we need swift developers and android developer…(two jobs)..now we have react native or flutter…etc which works in both almost as same as native …again one job…

we are not realizing the power of automation…int his field we should be updating every day like an app getting updates…no rest..

navalla kadhu bro inka update kavadam ..... my final learnings are Svelte/kit , Nest.js , prisma , supabase , flutter ( I know this already)  and few other techs for my side projects , career kosam nerchukovadam manesaaa , I don't have any zeal to climb the ladder

svelte personal projects , now Vercel backed Svelte it is going to get more traction in 2023 , also Next.js 13 inspired from Sveltekit (like page.js , layout.js etc...) ,

flutter is better in performance and light weight than react native but if you already have react knowledge stick to it

Salesforce yields to activist pressure with harsh new policies for engineers, salespeople

Salesforce is looking at new ways to cut costs as activist investors continue to put pressure on the company. Today, Insider was reporting that the company is implementing much stricter performance measurements for engineering, with some salespeople being put under pressure to quit or succumb to harsh performance policies of their own. This is consistent with what sources have been telling TechCrunch.

This could include performance reviews based on the quantity of code produced for engineers, a flawed way to measure engineering productivity, which encourages quantity over quality. While salespeople are being put between a rock and a hard place, being asked to choose between signing a strict one-month performance improvement plan or taking an exit package.

If there is no quota to fill, pip is definitely needed in more companies.  Work life balance is definitely needed, at the same time accountability is needed too. Otherwise the boat will be loaded with full of coasters

Technology is evolving. Previously many companies used to host the services by themselves and used to have workforce to do. Now with cloud, they just need 10% workforce to do it.

there is no way companies are going to survive in the current world with previous model.
everyone is expected to wear multiple hats at job.
