Model 3 2018 is first gen. They updated those design issues later. Also the car is out of basic warranty now. I wouldn’t suggest going for model 3 first gen. Your comparison should be 2023 model 3 vs 2023 model y. Then it comes to price and which car is comfortable for your needs.

If you are cool with used card, check used cars inventory in Tesla site.

With FSD 2021 and performance boost, Model Y's LR are for 58k.

Its worth it. FSD alone costs 15k these days.
