Organic farming is commercially unviable in India. Don't take it seriously if politicians start spouting nonsense about it 

These drones are very costly to operate , no farmer can purchase them with existing incomes and land holdings. Politicians just bring them up for publicity

I guess what Lokesh meant is that government would bring in these sophisticated equipment for low cost subsidy to farmers. Like a lease with maintenance and equipment managed by a third party company. imo, not a bad idea

It would obviously be a foolish thought if you think he meant he would provide it for every farmer

He's dumb as f*ck then , people greater than him have tried and failed to make govt services work. His father knew exactly why that model fails.

In India , especially in Andhra govt cannot even do basic services right. What makes anyone think govt employees can operate a complicated , delicate devices like drones. Even during CBN govt time ,Name one public service that involves govt employees that is done quickly and efficiently ?

Okay genius,  tell me a single third party agency contracted by AP govt that delivered any service well ? 

AP govt has a similar scheme where they are supposed to lend tractors , JCBs , harvestors ,etc to farmers. You know what happened to that scheme ? They bought all those vehicles only to abandon them in district agricultural office after a few days. Some of them were secretly sold off by employees too 

The drones are delicate and break often , the spares are impossible to find. Rotorblades break easily and they have to wait for a long time to get it up and running.
