GIS participants expressed intentions to invest Rs 15.42 trn in MP: CM

Industrialists and entrepreneurs expressed intentions to invest a total of Rs 15.42 lakh crore in the state during the two-day Global Investors Summit "Invest Madhya Pradesh" here, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Thursday. The two-day event, organized by the MP government, got over here earlier in the day. "Entrepreneurs from different sectors expressed intentions to invest a total of Rs 15,42,550 crore," Chouhan told reporters. Proposals were received for investment in renewable energy, urban infrastructure, agriculture and food processing, mining, Information Technology, services, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, logistics and storage and textile manufacturing among other sectors, he said. Delegates from 84 countries including G20 countries participated in the conference, Chouhan added. More than 2,600 meetings were held in two days with over 5,000 investors, he said. As many as 36 foreign business organizations signed Memorandums of Understanding with the Madhya Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), the CM informed.

Uttar Pradesh Global Investor summit 2023: 18,643 MoUs worth Rs 32 lakh cr signed

Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida) district got 27 per cent (Rs 7.85 lakh crore) of the total investment intents, Agra 8 per cent (Rs 2.1 lakh crore), Ghaziabad 3.66 per cent (Rs 1 lakh crore), and Aligarh 1.65 per cent (Rs 47,000 crore). Other districts that contributed to Purvanchal rising share were Sonbhadra, which got 2.57 per cent of the intents (Rs 74,000 crore), Mirzapur 2.21 per cent (Rs 64,000 crore), Prayagraj (Rs 53,000 crore), Ayodhya and Jaunpur about Rs 45,000 crore investment intents each.

 

Reliance, Birla, Tata to invest in UP

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, announced an investment of Rs 75,000 crore in UP in the coming four years. About one lakh new jobs are expected to be created by this investment.
