KCR calls for emergency party meeting: What's up?

Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has called for an emergency meeting of all the senior party leaders on Friday to discuss the latest situation in the state.

The meeting has been called amidst reports that the Enforcement Directorate might arrest KCR’s daughter and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha whose name figured in the remand report of Hyderabad-based industrialist Arun Ramchandra Pillai in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam.

According to party sources, the meeting would be attended by BRS MPs, MLAs and members of the party general body at Telangana Bhavan at 2 pm on Friday. Besides, BRS district presidents, chairpersons of State-level corporations, Zilla Parishads and others have also been asked to attend the meeting.

Apparently, KCR would brief the latest developments including witch-hunt by the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation on the opposition leaders.

“If Kavitha is arrested, the party would step up the agitation and take the fight into the people,” sources said.

Though another eight months are left for the assembly elections, KCR might also spell out his stand on advancing the elections in the state and seek the suggestions from the party leaders.

He would hold extensive discussions and devise an action plan for the party and its activities at the state and national level. The meeting will also deliberate on measures to take government schemes closer to the people and create awareness on their impact on the lives of people in Telangana, sources said.

The State Cabinet meeting is also scheduled to meet at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday at 2 pm. Apart from discussing government programmes, the Cabinet is likely to take crucial decisions pertaining to their implementation. 

The names of two candidates to be nominated to the State Legislative Council under the Governor’s quota are also expected to be announced during the meeting.

If they do this on a large scale, it can be considered as the first big mistake of KCR since 2014.

Kada..!! From where I see, BJP vallu correct ga pattinaru Kavitha ni...she is a ilability for BRS and KCR. Pothe poni ani vadilinchukoleru atla ani full fledge support chesthe mis fire avadam khayam...! 

ED and CBI, they could have made moves much faster but they took their own time, probably BJP were gauging the sentiment. Clear money trail establish chesinaka kuda 3-4 months ante report gattigane prepare chesinattu vunaru...

Kavitha ni lopala esthe sentimnest vastundi ante she does not have an image that could help her gain sympathy....Ie dharna valla BJP ki scope ivadame, 9 months to elections and seems BJP found the right issue to push their agenda.

It doesn’t matter how big u r and how much $$$$ u have.. it won’t help u in the time of need… she really didn’t have to do such a greedy thing even after having 1000s of crores

Modi/Amit Shah problem with Kavitha started when she told in the parliament that Telangana is not a part of India during Kashmir debate. 2019 elections lo ekkada leni vidhamga BJP+Congress kummakku ayyi mari Kavithakka ni odinchaaru. Anta Kavithakka doola in Parliament valla.

True. This is not something it has started recently. It all dates back to 2014-2015. Kavitha was the main reason for TRS not joining NDA. Apparently, she wanted a cabinet berth for herself and junior ministry for Boinapally Vinod who was 3-time MP and Kavitha was first time MP. After the talks failed, Kavitha out of rage made those comments in Parliament. Those comments have now been deleted and I really can't find those comments anywhere. Before her comments in Parliament, she apparently met ND and PDP leaders and tried extending her support to JK (God only knows why she had to go to such extent) and next day mahathali Parliament la vachi prasangam...

Oka talk kuda vundi, after her parliament gaffe Modi did not want to see her in Parliament ever. Then elections..Amit Shah's multiple visits to Nizamabad area, atu itu chesi Akka odipovadam...and BJP galla time bagundi Delhi la dorakadam..local scam ayivunte etlano atla manage chesetollu..ipud a scope kuda ledu.
