What exactly led to this wealth wipe out at SVB ? Funding to start ups ?

Cash flow problems. They invested too heavily in start ups and loaned a lot to tech companies for a low interest rates.

With this increased interest rates, they are facing the heat.

Growth companies rely on cheap credit , when the cheap credit dries up they go bankrupt

A lot of startups are going to be bankrupt in the next year even in India

All venture capital is high risk, when cash was freely flowing, startups that didn't pay back their loans didn't affect SVB as it does now.

they hold bonds and sold them for loss recently , those losses are huge (billion +) , CEO version is they know what they are doing and instead of holding them write off losses and move on , to cover the losses from bond sales , they are selling billion+ dollars of their shares , that trigger negative outlook to market and collapse
