Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway - gets to the point in the 1st minute, complex laws, neat court scenes even in India without OA or loud noise not found in any other Indian movie and setting a decent example (holy crap, I've seen actors like Brahmanandam cast as judges making a joke out of the legal system). Rani did a great job! Worth watching twice. Cool views of Norway. I don't care about the true story but this movie is really well made! Need to check out other movies of director Ashima Chibber -

Inglorious Basterds - Quentin. OMG! What a Jewish vengeance against the Nazis at the end! watch from the beginning to feel the impact.

Kindergarten Cop - Arnold in his younger days and all the single ladies hitting on him

Extraction 2 - great camera movements and angles and action shots in Austria and much better than Extraction 1 (which was shot in the distressed Bangladesh)

Searching - a tech movie

Missing - another tech movie

Hello Meera - a road tech movie. some directors have the calibre to drive the entire film with just a couple of actors. E.g. George Lopez, Everybody Loves Raymond, Oopiri (Nag)... This road movie has just the actress driving and speaking with various other people on the phone (we never see them and we feel they are there). Good dialogues. No masala or elevations. Not bad - a one-time watch.

Intinti Ramayanam - I watched this by mistake without knowing this is from the Low-IQ channel. When they showed the goat sacrifice as first shot, then I realized this is a mistake. But I gave it a chance - you can skip most of the first half (which is what I did) that has Low-IQ scenes but 2nd half is ok and about 50%-60% of Balagam (because it is based on existing Balagam concept using some of the same actors). The breakup song is good. Naresh is the saving grace of the movie.

Arthamainda Arun Kumar - they introduced a slavish work culture for the sake of story (or maybe Indian workplaces have this work culture? I don't know) but if you ignore that part, everyone acted great, (Anna de Armas in this movie! jk), titles all through the movie - I always wondered why movie makers make us sit through all the titles at the beginning before starting a movie, why not show them after some time and this one does it exactly as a variety and nice touch. young hero with energy. Ending indicated a Sequel to follow.

Nenu Student Ni Sir - good BGM and some comedy

Raghavan - nice NY city shots and scenes with Americans. The only disappointment is Kamal with zero energy (still stuck in Swati Muthyam times)

Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo - good but you will be waiting and wondering if there is a sequel to finish the climax because it doesn't come early enough until the last few minutes. climax was rushed too quickly in a couple of minutes

IB71 - not at the standards of Sankalp, very old story, Vidyut could not save it

Vimanam - old-fashioned movie from he 1980s with forced story, forced events and forced emotions

Hidden Strike - Jackie Chan, John Cena - good with some stunts. But they should have dubbed completely to English instead of half-English and half-Chinese and made another one completely Chinese version to satisfy both audiences. English subtitles (for Chinese dialogues) disappear too quickly before we read them forcing us to rewind and replay which is frustrating. When are they going to learn the basics?

Dawn of the Dead - zombies (last day to watch on Netflix - Jul 31)

 

 

Spy (telugu) - mediocre execution, maybe one time watch

 

Uyare - a flight movie

 

Runway 34 - a flight movie - Ajay, Rakul, Amitabh

 

Awe - awesome interior decoration at the restaurant with the big clock backdrop. Futuristic - we can watch this even after 10 years and don't feel it outdated.

 

Samajavaragamana - a hyped up movie with forced story, Low-IQ dialogues, forced emotions and mediocre humor. I thought of sharing this because it was hyped up too much. The only saving grace is the gorgeous heroine Reba Monica John who literally stole the show with her natural acting - watch it for her alone! A look-alike of and more beautiful than Disha Patani. Hope she gets more roles in better Telugu movies. Pramodini as the hero's mother was the second saving grace. Naresh with a black wig and black mustache is ridiculous. The biggest disappointment is the LIFELESS hero (who is a total mismatch with the heroine) with UNCLEAR murmuring dialogues that come out mudda mudda ga,  nathi nathi ga unnecessary uttering of "ణ ణ" (Nna, Nna) in every word like an old purohit brahmin or Allu Ramalingayya which is annoying and we cannot understand his dialogues most of the time (need to rewind and replay). Even when he has to raise his voice, it remains low like a dead man compared to others voices at the same time. They should have at least hired a voice over artist. And yeah a TON of Low-IQ kulam, kulam, caste, caste, gajji, gajji, gabbu, gabbu, nibba, nibbi... from Kula Shekar. 10/5 stars go to just Reba. -5/10 stars to the hero. Over all 2/5 or less for Low-IQ.
