If You Don't Meet MLAs, They Don't Vote Mr Jagan - GreatAndhra

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has to learn a lesson or two from the recent elections.

The YSR Congress lost all three graduate MLC seats and the seventh MLC seat from the Assembly quota.

Four MLAs from the YSR Congress voted for the opposition TDP in the latest MLC election, despite the party holding a dinner meeting and conducting mock polling at least four times.

Sources say that Jagan Mohan Reddy himself had interacted with some of the MLAs before they went to vote.

However, with the next elections only 13 months away, it is unlikely that anyone will care about him at this point.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is credited with not meeting the MLAs and ignoring them for the last four years.

Several MLAs could not even meet the chief minister once in the last four years.

Moreover, several MLAs could not get their works done in their constituencies, and their bills remain uncleared or unpaid.

Trusted lieutenants of Jagan Mohan Reddy have even parted ways with him because he did not meet them even once.

The defeat in the Assembly MLC elections was humiliating, especially since Jagan and his party claimed victory beforehand.

What is missing in the YSR Congress, or its leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, is a clear election strategy, and it's time he realizes it.

Jagan Mohan Reddy should also understand that MLAs cannot be judged solely by the parameters given by IAS officers or political analysts.
