Right to Information Act కింద information అడిగేవాడికి punishment ఇచ్చే provisions లేవు. హైకోర్టు కి Art 226 కింద కూడా ఆ పవర్ లేదు. ఒక్క సుప్రీంకోర్టుకే Art 142 కింద అసాధారణ అధికారం ఉంది.
