YouTubers say only good things about them and they don't tell the truth. EVs are really fun to drive and faster than any other vehicle I drove. Technology is good too. But,

1. Phantom drain 1-5% battery drain per day just like any smartphone. You don't lose gas when an ice vehicle is parked. This is really bad when you forget to charge and you park your car at the airport or family or friend's home, where every mile counts. If you use sentry mode, you can lose 10+% per day.

2. Glass top really gets hot and you need to have the AC running while the EV is parked, which uses the battery a lot.

3. In the winter, the battery loses the range a lot.

4. You will have the charger connected all the time because of 1 2 and 3. Once you buy an EV, you will know. So, is it really saving money when it's plugged in all the time? And super charger is expensive.. same price as gasoline.

5. When you travel with an EV, expect to add at least 1 hr time to 3-4 hr trip for charging and getting to the charger.

Conclusion If you really want an EV, buy also an ICE vehicle.

Long drives is pain with Evs! So def. Second card ice kavali

Cheaper alternative to Your conclusion is you can carry a gas generator in the enormous trunk space .

You need a different mindset if you plan on buying an EV.. driving style kuda change avuddi inorder to conserve the battery and get more miles out of the charge.. also plan for stops to charge the car..

Glasstop is common in all high end luxury cars.. not unique to Tesla.. obviously it is not as efficient as a regular hard top with insulation..

20 min charging time for a 3-4 hour trip is good enough..

Every new tech needs some time getting used to it.. and it gets better and better.. for eg: older iPhone ki charger and cable carry chesevallam even for more than half a day.. now we get a full day charge even for heavy usage without needing a charger..

Tesla is a pleasure car not a primary vehicle

to charge a model 3, 75kwh power is required, at super chargers they charge .25 cent approx to kw, which would be around 20$ for a full charge, plus the waiting time, plus home charging installation charges, with gas at 3.5 pr gallon, you'd still save few hundred dollars, on a 5 year term. But look at other things not good interiors, hp and torque are fine, waiting time at charging stations, plus battery issues, at the end not so much savings, compared to a honda accord or a camry. tesla body, design sucks both ext and int, except model x, which is 120k plus, and most cant afford model x because of high price. :)
