Lot of middle class Americans are very poor in money mgmt... They will be struggling, but dont blink an eye on 4$ Starbucks coffees 2 times a day.

They will take one car payment after another and happily live paycheck to paycheck.

 

They are all having big retirement accounts or government retirement benefits + Social security benefits. That’s what makes people spend money on this luxury items. Unlike other countries or India , here elders don’t save fortunes for their kids after providing education. That’s how American economy works.
