Few years back similar experience. Indian consulate asked for documentation of a person whose India passport expired 11 yrs back and he was acting all entitled and making a scene. Consulate said, you haven't bothered renewing your passport for 11 yrs, don't bother to visit.

US ki vachina kothalo, I was staying in Consultant company's apartment sharing with other ppl. I was there for 1.5 months before getting a job and till date friends with most ppl. On the day I was leaving, ppl were sad/happy for me but one guy like "kalu kaalina pilli" and restless. Finally when I was leaving he said I owe him "25 cents". He said its his mistake he miscalculated split a couple of nights before when we got food. 

Everyone was shocked and he says "25 cents antee 10/15 rs kadaa in India. I gave him and left. 2 months after everyone left, we had a phone conference and were discussing how everyone lost some things in their luggage. I lost new clothes. One guy lost his "used underwear/vest". We knew this guy took but we wondered about underwear coz of huge diff in size. 

Ilanti kathalu ennenno ... Kani used underwear ??????? 

I wish/hope this guy is in this DB forum and reading
