I did not mean that. though it is also true that north indians look down on south indians as darkies.

what i am pointing out is the obvious inferiority implied in your response when you said we must put in efforts to learn hindi instead of giving south indians the oppurtunity to focus their efforts on their real priorities like jobs gatra.

You are saying south indians should waste effort for acceptability from north indians. If others acceptability is main criteria then why not change skin color too and see if you get more acceptability ? and where will this end ? how much efforts should south indians spend for acceptabilities? - are they no good as they are in their own country ?

Tammi Hindi is spoken widely in India, it is our national language, what's wrong in learning it.
