PACHA card lo travelling what are the min requirements to stay out of the country.

can we stay for 6 months out of the country and come back to US stay for 1 month and travel back for another 6 months ?

I don’t think so. You have to stay 6 months straight in the country to maintain to gc status. If you are planning to stay longer out of the country apply for reentry permit when you are in US. Reentry permit validity is 2 years. You can stay outside the country for 2 years without abandoning gc status.

are u sure straight 6 months in the country to maintain the gc status ? I think in a year it is 6months not straight 6 months in us.

Jan to March - out of the country ( 3months)

April to June - in US (3months)

July to sep - out of the country ( 3months)

Oct to Dec - in US (3months)

anytime you go out of country for more than 6 months , then citizenship ki time starts at that time , meaning more months of wait, also re entry to might have questions regarding why you need PR when the intent is not to stay longer here .

I am also looking information on out of country stay in green card. Submitted i90 application for correction on green card for my wife and had to travel 2 months after giving finger print and no response in it yet.  She has completed 1 year staying outside and waiting on it. If anyone have information on how to proceed in case after she receive her greencard after approval.
