US Bank Altitude Reserve is another good card with $400 annual fee, $325 back in travel credits and 3% on all Apple Pay/Samsung pay/Google Pay purchases and 50% bonus when redeemed for travel. You basically get 4.5% back on all mobile wallet purchases including Costco as they accept apple pay. The big downside is, it's only 4 visits to lounges per year. Not unlimited. If you're not traveling more than 4 times, then this should be ok.

Good thing with US Bank card is, if you let's say book a flight or rental car outside their portal, you still get 50% bonus after enrolling in real-time rewards redemption. This is not the case with Chase cards. This has been my primary card since I applied for it! Easy 4.5% cash back at 90% of the places.

I think there is difference between cashback & points

these points system cards actually giving only 2.5% cashback when points are converted to $

You should never cash out points! Maximize it using the best possible way!

thats the pbm 

you have to use it using the services in credit card portal which might be useful but rare cases

That's the benefit with US Bank Altitude Reserve card with real-time rewards redemption. Buy a ticket or rental car outside anywhere you want to and you still get 50% bonus. No other card that I know has this benefit!
