I got laid off 3 weeks ago. Took some time for reality to hit now.

Bought a home a month ago in Bay Area with 300k above the asking price. Thinking about it makes me feel stupid. Feels like I let my family down... Also on H1b.

I just followed what other people do in Bay area. Getting burned royally now. Hoping to get a job soon..

How are other folks in the same situation managing?

I can ask him to sell his house for half the price and go to India or come to Texas Chowdary or naidu caste aithe
