Em Bhayya, nuvvu adgalisina questions congress vallani kada.

It was Dhirubhai Ambani who sold spices before going into polyester business. Same thing with Adani who said it was Rajiv Gandhi policies of relaxing that got him into exports and imports from his traditional jewellery polishing.

It was Congress Chiman Bhai Patel's govt that is said to have given the then land around the Mundra Port for 10 paise per sq metre in 1993.

Didn't Adani buy his coal mine in the year 2010 in Australia, wasn't it then the congress UPA2 govt in power and didn't he buy the sea terminal around 2012 also?

Atleast see when and how much he has bid and when and how did he get the money, rather than simply regurgitating the usual vomit of the political leaders.

So who are you supposed to ask bhayya? If having experience in everything is the pre-requisite then no body will even get a job no - a classic case of chicken and egg.

Your post shows your inexperience in the real world or just blind hatred of BJP. 

If you want example of crony capitalism in recent times then look how Praful Patel of NCP as the aviation minister gave profit making routes of indian airlines (especially Singapore and Malaysia) to Vijay Mallya's Kingfisher airlines to push Indian Airlines further into losses.

the highlighted second statement is not even true. Most of Adanis debt is from overseas investors and private firms as the interest rates are less overseas than India's. If you or the info from where you have sourced, have any proofs that Modi put pressure of SBI to give loans to Adani, please put those in public domain. This is also one of the reasons why Adani's stock was shorted in the overseas bond markets. And they call all the other people as Andh Bhakts or whats App University.

Learn how business work -  Business houses don't always limit themselves to one field only if they want longevity or growth.

1. Infosys was there since 80 and 90's, but it truly forged ahead with globalization.

2. Wipro was into refined oils business, who then went into IT and Azim PremJi became one of the richest Indian for a brief period of time. Adani would also have been the same. Nobody said why is Azim Premji with no experience jumping into IT when he went there.

3. Nobody questions why reliance went to telecom and now trying to roll out 5g when they have "no prior experience".

Big businesses bring capital, profit making and scale to operations that is often lacking in govt controlled ventures. As long as the private enterprises follow the set rules by and large they should be okay.

Try to read why Adani is forging ahead and what is his business model. Adani invested in a coal mine in Australia in 2010 and contracted a railway line that transports coal to a sea terminal again controlled by Adani by 2012. Anyone looking for coal can do a one stop shop arrangement with Adani instead of a separate ones with coal mines, rail transport and ones handling shipping in a port terminal.

Adani has been throwing more money than usual to get contracts. He is said to have bid for 1.8 billion on Haifa port in Israel, the next closest were supposed to be the chinese at 550 million.

If this was done by a company from the US they would use fancy terms like strategic acquisitions/mergers consolidating positions and what not and some of the dbians and people in India would be awestruck by the same acquisitions.
