NATO missiles kadu.. Ukraine has been trying to join EU (and NATO next) for the economic benefits it provides and the jobs the business opportunities create.. Russia was totally against it.. Ukrainians study well and are entrepreneurial in nature.. there are so many of them in the tech and engineering sectors.. I work with a couple of teams in Ukraine.. Nato kadu.. Ukraine was in talks with EU for a trade agreement.. The Ukraine president at that time, Yanukovich, withdrew from that agreement few days before it was supposed to be signed.. that would have given Ukraine access to all of EU for their goods, grains, fertilizer etc.. it is a window into the west for  Ukraine.. People got very angry and started protesting., more like Arab spring.. Yanukovich fled the country and took asylum in Russia.. then Russia invaded and occupied Crimea..  Nato talks started after Russia invaded Crimea.. there is a long history behind all of this..

Thokkale... It is not trade agreement, There was proposal to join NATO and a referendum was done too which most of the people wanted to join NATO. further the killings of Russians in Donetsk and Luhansk poured petrol...

it is wrong narrative you are giving.. Ukraine has showed interest to Join NATO to which Russia is against it, when Putin has clearly mentioned to India if Ukraine joins NATO it is a threat to Russia's existence.  India was warning Zelensky of the consequences right from the beginning this Jokey did not listened and over estimated him self. USA was the reason behind all this it gave Hand to him at the right moment... Any leader should weigh in the causalities of war before they even start it... this Joker and People of Ukraine did not realized how bad it is going to be, most of them thought the was will be over in 3 months and the ones who participates in this can reap the benefits as war heroes ...

you are talking about what happened after Zelensky came to power.. I am talking about events before 2014 and what caused Russian occupation of Crimea.. Until that occupation, Ukraine was trying to balance between EU and Russia.. but Russia was adamant that Ukraine should not get into any agreements with EU, be it economic or military.. 

if a country feels that they will be attacked, they will look for protection and that’s why they decided Nato discussions… but this all started with Ukraine’s decision to have a trade agreement with EU around 2010..
