they cant just trash the constitution. refining is what they are doing

during independence, british ensured their slave nehru takes over

we got independence but nation building was never done by nehru, he encourage local identity than indian identity

it is hard for modi to negate all the damage that was done, there are things he is surely fixing such as article 370, which was near impossible to fix, but it happened

Sengol/new parliament is a sign of rebuilding india away from colonial history, it will take a decade before all his vision materializes

I think you are somehow got trapped deep into BJPs brainwashing. Think with an absolute neutral mind-set without any bias or hatred against anyone, Congress, Indira, Nehru, Modi & BJP. 

As someone who spent last one decade understanding a bit of World and India's History, especially from WW-2 view point..I have many logical points:

1. First understand what India was before 1947. Especially between 1939-1945 and after wards of 1945. With just 10% literacy rate and 90% of population unable to meet their ends, India walked into Dawn of Independence. This is a key point to understand. Nehru became PM of a Nation that has infinitely many problems to solve. It was never an easy task.

2. Look at the other side of the Globe, WW-2 just finished and Germany was occupied by 4 advanced nations. NATO was just formed to defeat Russian Empire. No one would join and collaborate with NATO, which is headed by USA, and UK being the main partner of NATO, the very UK which ruled India for 200 years and the very same UK which every Indian fought to get rid of .. for over 100 years.

3. Nehru did not even believe USSR as its already a Russian Empire, which is an EMPIRE and potentially might be another British Empire...

4. Nehru inherited the country that could not even afford a small-scale war with neighbour Pakistan. Thats why needed to give away PoK.

5. Nehru did not have chance to build Army.. as his main priority was feeding people. He went on to compromise even with the weakest neighbours like Pakistan & Bangladesh as he did not believe in War, which damaged India for at least 1000 years. (Foriegn Invasions) 

6. Contrary to popular belief that India was looted away and all the poverty was due to British rule, it was the fight between Rich Vs Poor but not British Vs Indians. Inside India, the only people who could afford all luxuries are Kshatriyas, Vysyas and Brahmins who are less than 5% of population that time.

7. Still Nehru did a phenomenal job of establishing IITs, IIMs and many institutes of higher learning..even though country was not really equipped with the stuff needed.

8. The best thing Nehru did was keeping away from NATO Vs Russia Cold War and implemented Neutral strategy. This really helped India do business with Israel, Saudi, China, Russia, USA, Germany, UK -- all at a single point of time, which is impossible for any nation on the earth.

9. I am not someone who support Congress, but BJP is really harming the country by re-writing the History and manipulating the incidents as they happened.

10. Coming to your claim about erasing colonial Past.... Pakistan did erase their Hindu past and re-created Islamic History... and you see where Pakistan landed today..
