దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 50 కొత్త మెడికల్ కాలేజీల ఏర్పాటుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాలకు 17 కాలేజీలు రానున్నాయి. ఇందులో తెలంగాణకు 12, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ కు 5 కాలేజీలకు కేంద్రం ఆమోద ముద్ర వేసింది. 2023-24 విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుండి ఒక్కో కాలేజీలో 150 సీట్లతో ప్రారంభమవుతాయని కేంద్ర వైద్య ఆరోగ్య మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ తెలిపింది.

తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో ఎక్కడ?

ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో ఏలూరు, మచిలీపట్నం, నంద్యాల, రాజమహేంద్రవరం, విజయనగరం జిల్లాల్లో మెడికల్ కాలేజీలను ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం విషయానికి వస్తే మేడ్చల్, వరంగల్, భూపాలపల్లి, కామారెడ్డి, కరీంనగర్, ఖమ్మం, అసిఫాబాద్, నిర్మల్, సిరిసిల్ల, వికారాబాద్, జనగాం, హైదరాబాద్ లలో కొత్త కళాశాలల ఏర్పాటుకు కేంద్రం ఆమోదం తెలిపింది

2. 12 colleges in Telangana are funded 100% by state government.
