Promotion due for long

Hi, I have been waiting for my promotion since 6 months almost. They keep on telling everything is ready and  will be done in next 2-3 weeks. They are delaying it intentionally. I don’t have anyone to escalate. I can’t even change company now. What should I do ?

Witch company. 3 years. No promotion  since then but received good bonus and hikes.

uncle, I think they are trying. Endukante usually they dont promise unless they are really trying to keep you, so you are right just a waiting game.. 

kind of similar thing happening to me but a bit differet... trying to hire a position to help and they are paying the same amount I am getting. It took be 4 years for me to reach this pay grade, I dont know how to look at this. I am pretty sure they are not going with the market prices because it would be much more compared to what these guys are trying to pay, somethings doesnt make sense uncle, just have to let it go anthe.

no increaments except 2-3% hike every year that everybody gets

no promotion or even increase in the band level...

Do you trust what your director says based on your experience? If they liked you as an option they would have promoted you to that position. On the flip side, some times these directors are dumb, they don't know what they are doing and bite their tongue when a situation (like yours) arises and play wait game to diffuse situation. 

Have a conversation with your immediate boss. Use your 1:1's to understand what's going on. If you are confident of your skillset to get a new job, put more pressure. Else leave.

Sad reality but its the truth. People with 2 yrs exp make as much as people with 10yrs exp now-a-days. Changing times. Its better to change companies after every 4-5 yrs to make good money. Changing too often is bad for resume.

Yeah he is a decent guy. I trust him. Thellodu...Everybody speaks very highly about him across the organization.

Then keep your fingers crossed and wait. If its making you impatient, look for a job outside. Ultimately our happiness and peace is important. But keep an eye on recession that everyone talks about but does not seem coming. But seems like reality is that there are 200-300 applications for every linkedIn post.
