Not very appealing for me. But I can see why Tamil tambis like it. They are crazy fans for Vijay and they love teen maar/mass music.

I think both Telugu and Kannada to some extent are making good films than Bollywood or Tamil movies.

I forgot malayalam. Their movies are the best. Purely focused on script/story telling/good stories than commercial elements. 

Everyone has their Opinions regarding movies. Here's mine

Rajamouli/Sukumar/Trivikram have surpassed the commercial directors like Shanker from Tamil. Lokesh kanagaraj seems to be upcoming, but still. I am not saying these are content wise good movies but commercial ones.

Tamil movies have sad endings or they depict disgusting things in movies (e.g. director bala) which only tamil's seem to like. They are depicted as critically acclaimed movies.

Balagam, Sita Ramam, Major, Eega, Prasthanam, Rangasthalam, Ninu Kori, C/o Kancharapalem, Jersey, Goodachari, Agent Sai Srinivas Atreya, Konda Polam, , Arjun Reddy, Ghazi, Oopiri, etc. - Movies with good story lines. 

Recent years more telugu movies have been remade in tamil. IT was reverse before.

I am sure a Tamil guy will have a completely different view regarding movies.
