This won't do much to help Asian students. Infact affirmative action seats are very small percentage

The main problem with american universities is legacy admissions , some universities like Harvard have close to 50% seats reserved for rich people who can buy their way in without any merit

For example Trumps son in law Jared kushners parents paid 2.5 mil$ donation to secure a seat , he didn't even have 2.5 GPA which means you cannot even apply for Harvard

By same example Rahul Gandhi got into Harvard being a below average student

You cannot get admitted to stem degrees through this legacy route. It only works for management degrees. I mean MBA.

Not true you can get into various courses through donations , Harvard medical school has 50% legacy students whose parents passed out from ivy league schools .

It's basically a very small elite club that a few select outsiders can get into every year

Almost all ivy league schools follow similar admission process

The best solution for this is to upgrade all education systems to harvard or first downgrade harvard to local community college standard. And then upgrade all colleges slowly.

I disagree. Alright. Show me one famous celebrity or their kids who pursued non MBA course at IVY league schools.

Even as the Supreme Court has struck down race-conscious admissions in higher education, many other nations will continue to use affirmative action in schools.

About a quarter of countries around the world have policies for affirmative action at colleges and universities, and many have emerged within the last generation, research in the mid-2010s found.

Those places include China, where students who are not members of the country’s dominant ethnic group can be admitted to schools with lower test scores, and France, where some selective institutions intentionally seek out students from schools in disadvantaged areas. In Brazil, a 2012 law set aside about 50 percent of seats at many federal universities for those who went to public high schools and groups who have experienced discrimination, including Black and Indigenous students.

But, as in the United States, the future of the Brazil law has grown uncertain in recent years as the country’s political leadership has changed.

In one of the more contentious approaches, public colleges in India must adhere to quotas for disadvantaged groups. Communities who do not benefit from the quotas have argued that they spur resentment and exacerbate divisions.

But India’s system is written into its constitution. It requires universities to set aside 22.5 percent of seats for lower castes, including Dalits, who have experienced less economic mobility than others. Today, nearly 50 percent of spots in India’s public higher education institutions are reserved for members of those groups. The quotas also apply to government jobs.

It's because they don't want to do harder STEM courses . Like I said look at the students enrolled in Harvard medical school , they are mostly the children of famous doctors who passed out of ivy league

More than half of them will not be there if pure merit is considered

Biden will not be the nominee. As of today, Gavin Newsom avvocchu but even that is also doubt. It will be somebody else.

With primaries a year away, candidates are continuing to declare their intentions for the 2024 race. Biden is the likely Democratic candidate, drawing only fringe challengers Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson.16 hours ago

How come this is good news for Asian Americans (Indians)? Intha avutunna okkadu case kooda veyaledu. The people who fought against this were Chinese Americans, not Indian Americans. Asians overall benefit from this. Also, lots of whites benefit from this. A lot of low income/middle class White people study hard. Finance majors ki literally same situation as Asians to get into colleges. White women already benefit but they are going to benefit more.

Secondly, why are Blacks alone losing out with repealing affirmative action? Latinos people were benefitting. Women were benefitting. LGBTQ were benefitting. All while they state they do not discriminate based on gender, nationality, race, etc.

No one reports the story straight. Prati daniki twisted perspective istaru!
