July 4th weekend Chicago will be crowded. NASCAR street race avuthundi. Expect heavy crowded and limited parking spaces for regular visitors.

Buckingham fountain anukunta lake shore drive baguntadi early morning aroundbsunrise time before traffic.. view of downtown skyline from planetorium baguntadi evening and night and also swami Narayan temple and aurora temple both for their architectures parents would love it and Chicago downtown famous for world famous restaurants and architecture tour starts near Navi pier I think both family and parents would love it.. if u get a chance to bridge closure and open for boats it would be wonderful to watch.. hop on hop off tour be best if u don't walk a lot ...if u want to explore go by Metra either olglive or union Station depending on where u coming from evening time taxis nammukovaddu hand istaru assalu dorakavu best is go early and park near a garage near Navi pier or planetarium..and explore city and aceraium is a must specially for dolphin shows its popular for .I have lived in Chicago for very long time and worked on Michigan ave..so explored little also there is disney store in michigan Ave kids would love also there is nice Hilton hotel kid friendly if u want to worry free travel out of downtown..also there is american girl doll store if any one want visit their daughter it's pretty good visit.. summer walking on mag mile is pretty experience as they decorate a lot with tulips and very colorful avoid late night hangouts and Southside you should be good too..

Nutella based eatery and ice cream museum undi.. Kids will love it.. Park underground at N grant on Mich ave.. Best spot to park in middle of attractions. Spot hero app lo you can reserve your spot.. Chala rash ga drive chestharu, so drive carefully in downtown.

Aurora Balaji temple very famous and very good...try to make time to visit and food equally famous on weekends. Lots of choices so morning darshanam ayyaka lunch/brunch laaga akkade plan cheyyochu. 

Swami Narayan temple awesome untadi (google it for photos), evening time lo lights valla different look untadi, so go before sunset and spend till after sunset.

Devon ave was famous for Indian/Paki food until a decade ago (or atleast pre-covid). Oka time lo (90's, early 2000's) that was the only place to find good food. But suburbs lo picha pichaga desi's settle ayyaka manchi quality food akkade undi.

Hyd house (I prefer family one and not cafe type) oka time lo bagundedi for haleem and mutton biryani. Heard post covid its always hit or miss....so I wont recommend driving to devon just for food. If ur in chicago downtown area, then from there its abt 30mins with traffic...just hyd old city, koti, begum bazar feel ravali anukunte vellu.

spend most of the time in downtonw area only....I feel 2 days motham akkade undi enjoy chey. 

Summer in chicago DT is awesome....winter entha harsh untado, exact opp is summer.

Sat nights DT lo any pub outside chudu...picha colorful with all hotties.

south side of DT is for all nalla gaathi...dont even try to go just for drive. Otherwise there is no safety issues in actual DT area....since its summer and long weekend, traffic will be horrible and lots n lots of ppl eveyr where...so dont worry abt some comments on safety issues....u will be fine. 

Summer lo every Sat night and Wed night Navy Pier lo fireworks untadi and its very good....July 4th ki malli inko round undochu....u dont have go all the way to Navy Pier to see it.....there are many place to view fireworks
