Airport visa and immigration check in India

Parents and couple of relatives coming from Hyd to EWR through Indian airlines. Telugu and Hindi thappa english kastam....

Ippudu HYD to Mumbai 

and Mumbai to EWR flight undhi....

I assume customs and visa check will done in Mumbai right? because its international flight. Even though its same carrier. 

 

I know it might sound silly but double checking. Trying to hash out all potential issues before they board a flight.

Carrier doesn't matter. It will be done in Mumbai. Before they Board EWR flight.
